Off-the-tee overview

How many tee shots stayed in play last time, and on which side did the rest go?

In the app: Last session

What it measures

  • Corridor hits from your most recent tee-shot session, with misses to the left and right counted beside them. The corridor is the imaginary fairway you set for the drill.
  • Performance by lie splits your hit rate by surface, using the question you answer when you save a session. A lie is compared once it has 10 shots.
  • The numbers appear once you have recorded 10 shots.

How it helps you

A quick read straight after practice: how did today go, and which way did it go wrong?

Off the tee, the side you miss on decides how bad the miss is, so the split is as useful as the total.

Examples, and what the coach says

Example 1

A good session with a right side miss

One Driver Dispersion session of 10 shots.

In the corridor
6 of 10
Miss left
1
Miss right
3

How to read it

  • Six of ten means four shots outside the corridor.
  • Three of those four went right. That is worth noticing, but ten shots cannot prove a pattern.
  • Go to Miss pattern & drift for the same question across many sessions.
AI coachFocus: Same picture on every drive

You hit 6 of 10 shots in the corridor, and three of your four misses went right. One session is too short to call that a habit, so it is not time to change your swing.

Next session: Start your next set by rehearsing the same target picture before every drive, then compare the two sessions on Corridor trend.

Example 2

The mat flatters you

70 tee shots with the lie answered.

Performance by lie
Training mat
70 % 28 of 40
Fairway
43 % 13 of 30

How to read it

  • Mat 70 %, grass 43 %. Both have plenty of shots, so the gap is real.
  • A mat forgives contact, and a ball on a mat can look straighter than it is.
  • Trust the grass number when you plan your strategy on the course.
AI coachFocus: Hitting off real turf

From the mat you are at 70 %, against 43 % from grass. Your range sessions are making your driving look better than it will be on the course.

Next session: Put more of your reps on grass whenever you can, even in small sets. Fairway Accuracy only needs two markers and a grass tee.

All numbers here are illustrative sample data, and the coach notes show the kind of advice you get. In the app, the AI coach reads all your off the tee data and gives you one focus with its reasoning, based on your own sessions. Each chart also has a one-line takeaway of its own.
