Dispersion strip

What does your tee-shot pattern look like, shot by shot?

In the app: Shot dispersion

What it measures

  • Your last six sessions, one row per session, one dot per shot in the order you hit them.
  • Each dot sits in one of three lanes: left of the corridor, in the corridor, or right of it. Lanes are categories, not exact positions, because the drills record which side you missed on, not by how much.
  • A summary counts how many of your recent shots finished in the corridor. It appears once you have 10 shots.

How it helps you

A percentage hides the shape. The same 60 % can be a tight fade or a wild spray, and you would practise each one very differently.

Seeing shots in order also reveals when things go wrong, like a bad start to every session.

Drills behind this insight

Record any of these in the app and this insight updates when you save the session.

Speed Ladder measures how far you hit the ball past a marker, not left or right, so it has no place in these lanes (except for the in-zone shots on its Carry Window option).

Examples, and what the coach says

Example 1

A one-sided shape

Four sessions of 10 drives.

Every shot, in order
LeftCorridorRight
Latest
2nd
3rd
4th

How to read it

  • 29 of the 40 shots sit in the middle lane.
  • All 11 misses went right, and none went left.
  • A one-sided shape like this is something you can plan around on the course.
AI coachFocus: Own your right side miss

29 of your 40 recent shots finished in the corridor, and every miss went the same way. That is good news: you have a shot shape, which is much easier to manage than a random miss.

Next session: Use that centre line as your starting point, and aim down the left half of the corridor in your next set, so that your usual miss stays in play.

Example 2

A two-way spray

Three sessions of 10 drives.

Every shot, in order
LeftCorridorRight
Latest
2nd
3rd

How to read it

  • Only half the shots, 15 of 30, are in the corridor.
  • The other half land on both sides, with no clear pattern from one shot to the next.
  • This is the hardest shape to score with, because you cannot aim away from a miss on both sides.
AI coachFocus: One stock shot

15 of your 30 recent shots finished in the corridor, and the misses go both ways. You cannot plan for that on the course, because there is no safe side.

Next session: For your next set, forget the score and hit one shot shape only. Keep the corridor wide on an easier level until one side starts to disappear.

All numbers here are illustrative sample data, and the coach notes show the kind of advice you get. In the app, the AI coach reads all your off the tee data and gives you one focus with its reasoning, based on your own sessions. Each chart also has a one-line takeaway of its own.
