Wedges Distance Control
Use Trackman or a measured range target to track how many balls it takes to land five balls on the basket or inside the distance window. Distances and tolerances scale by difficulty tier, from 30–50 yds for average players to 50–100 yds for elite wedge control.
Difficulty levels
Setup & execution
Place targets at 40, 50, 60 and 70 yds. Pick one station at a time and keep hitting until five balls finish on the basket or inside 3 yds, with a 50-shot limit. Experienced players should begin matching swing length to carry number instead of guessing. Note whether misses cluster short or long before changing club or tempo.
Goal
Produce five on-target balls before the shot limit. A pass means the distance pattern is repeatable enough to take into on-course wedge play.
Tour context
PGA Tour proximity from 40–70 yds averages roughly 10–18 ft. For HCP 11.5–18.4 players, repeatedly finishing inside 3 yds shows meaningful wedge calibration.
Scoring options
Pick how you are rewarded. Each option records different outcomes and feeds different insights.
Classic
On target or not. A miss costs you nothing.
Points Premium
On target pays triple; only running it long is free.
Never Short Premium
Every miss costs you except the long one.

ApproachThe 9-Shot Matrix
Hit 9 shots combining 3 trajectories (low, medium, high) and 3 shapes (draw, straight, fade) to build full shot control.
ApproachIron Dispersion
Hit 15 iron shots across three target distances, using dispersion corridors from 10 yd to 30 yd wide depending on difficulty, and map whether each shot finishes in zone, left, or right.
ApproachThree Targets
Hit five approach shots to each of three alignment-stick targets set at different distances — distances and scoring rings vary by difficulty tier from 50–175 yd. Mark a scoring ring around each stick before you begin and count any ball resting inside the ring as a success. Complete three rounds for 45 approach shots in total.
