Stupid 9
Play 9 holes from distances between 3 ft and 30 ft, depending on difficulty. Goal is to shoot even par or better. Start over if the ball finishes more than 2 ft short or 3 ft long.
Difficulty levels
Setup & execution
Place nine tees in a straight line from 4 ft to 20 ft. Play one ball from each tee, starting at the closest station and moving back. Every station is a par-2 hole. Stay patient on the longer putts: a miss that finishes more than 2 ft short or 3 ft long restarts the drill.
Goal
Farther successful putts earn 2 extra reward points per distinct distance rank. Complete at least 5 of the 9 holes using the original flat outcome values.
Tour context
PGA Tour make rates fall from roughly 75% at 5 ft to about 10-15% near 20 ft. HCP 11.5-26.4 players passing this tier are developing the speed window needed to avoid costly three-putts.
Scoring options
Pick how you are rewarded. Each option records different outcomes and feeds different insights.
Classic
You finish the hole or you don't. Nothing else is scored.
Points Premium
Leaving it short hurts twice as much as missing sideways.
Never Short Premium
Come up short and you lose a point.
